Age Restrictions

In accordance with UK law you must be aged 18 years old to purchase alcohol. By placing an order with us you warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Contracts for the purchase of products through our site will be governed by UK law. Any disputes or claims arising from the use of this site must be made and settled under UK law.

The Order Process

All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by email. We reserve the right not to accept any order request.

We have made every reasonable effort to ensure that the products offered on our web site are available. In the unlikely event that a product ordered by yourselves is temporarily unavailable we will contact you prior to the scheduled delivery date to offer you the choice of a similar product for the same price or a refund of your money.

Pricing

Prices are as displayed on our web site except in the case of obvious errors. Prices are displayed in UK Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Except where we explicitly indicate that the delivery charge will be waived, a delivery charge will be added to your order as follows: £10 (including VAT) for one case (6 bottles); £5 (including VAT) for 2 cases or more (12 bottles or more).

Payment

Payment can be made online by credit or debit card. We accept the following cards : Mastercard , Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Purchasing, Laser. Delivery of any products ordered from our web site is subject to authorisation of your credit or debit card payment.

Payment by credit/debit card is handled on our behalf by Worldpay, a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland using a range of state of the art technology to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. For more details on the security aspects of your payment please refer to Security.

Delivery

We will deliver the product ordered by you to the address supplied by you in the order process.

A delivery charge will be added to your order as follows: £10 (including VAT) for one case (6 bottles); £5 (including VAT) for 2 cases or more (12 bottles or more).

We deliver to anywhere in mainland UK. We regret that that we are currently unable to deliver to any other areas such as Isle of Wight, UK Offshore, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland. The following postcodes in rural Scotland may be available on request at an additional fee: AB10-56, IV1-39,IV52-54, PA20-40, FK15-21, PH3-41, DD8-11,DG1-16,TD1-15, KW1-14, KA1-30.

The anticipated delivery date is approximately 10-14 days after the close of the order period in which you place your order. You will be notified of any change to this delivery date by email.

We use third parties to deliver the wine to you. For more details on the delivery process please refer to Delivery.

We are dependent on third party suppliers for delivery on all our wines and shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.

The delivery company will ask you to sign a 'proof of delivery' sheet or electronic notepad. All goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over. If there is any obvious damage to the content of the package, it should be noted on the delivery record. If you notice any damage to the wine after having signed to accept the delivery, you must notify us within 48 hours. We will provide either a refund or a replacement for bottles which are broken or damaged in transit.

If the customer gives special instructions for the wine to be left outside the house it will be left at the customer's own risk.

Cancellations and refunds

You may if you wish for whatever reason cancel your order. The cancellation period is up to 7 working days from the day after you have received your order. You must inform us within 7 working days by email or by letter of your wish to cancel your order. We will reimburse all monies for the wine within 30 days from the date you notify us of the cancellation.

The wine must be returned to us at your own cost. If the wines are not returned we will arrange collection and the collection cost will be deducted from your refund. Failure to return the wines, or to make them available for collection is a breach of a statutory duty. The bottles should remain unopened and intact, and in their original wrapping and accompanied by all documentation. You must retain and store the wines in good condition until they are returned to us or until we can arrange collection.

Our liability in connection with any products purchased through our site is limited to the purchase price of such products. This does not exclude or limit in any way our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability to the extent that it may not be excluded or limited as a matter of law.

Warranties

PicWines warrant that the wines purchased through our web site will be of satisfactory quality. If you have any concerns regarding the quality of the product supplied these should be noted on the delivery receipt. Alternatively you should notify us of any complaints within 7 working days. If we do not hear from you within 7 working days after receipt of the product you will be deemed to have accepted delivery of the product in accordance with your order.

We value our customers' privacy and have taken great care to ensure the security of your transactions with us. All data is collected lawfully and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date.
